Its plain ridiculous. Churches are empty every Sundays yet Christmas time everybody wants to celebrate - reaping where you did not sow. In my opinion only those English that can prove 70% Church attendance must be allowed to buy Turkey. This hypocrisy must be halted henceforth!

I think Christmas should be moved from December so that people can concentrate on the significance of this month - preparation for the new year.

It's daft having 2 major celebrations in the same week; moving Christmas to February 4 (or thereabouts) would make better sense.

It's midway through the winter season then - that's when we need cheering up.

And you're most likely to get snow at this point.

well well well  I'm told I'm not to celebrate Christmas because i don't go to church!!!surprised

funny though..i go to school Nativity plays, yet not a baby Jesus in sitefrownnot even a  star in range, just children dressed in animal costumes lost in a woodsurprised the true meaning of Christmas will be lost for good in a few more decades,so lets all get pished up and praise the jolly Santa for the Little baby Rudolphinnocent

...of course they can celebrate christmas...even though they are not christians...its a money making machine...exchange presents, decorate the house...ppl make huge profits and many folks find temporary employment...nothing wrong with that...my only issue is when couples argue abt their kids' arrangements at christmas and moan that their kids have to stay with one or the other parent cos its christmas and its too hard to be separated from their kids..trollocks...if you are not christian just decorate your house and exchange gifts in january...you dont have to be precise with the date..25 december...
