My best things about christmas are:

1) Spending more time with my families and building happy memories,

2) Break from work,

3) Television is usually better.

My worst things abot chrismas are:

1) Hearing about people getting in debt,

2) A sad event,

3) People getting drunk/violent due to too much alcohol.

How did snow and Christmas ever become associated in people's minds in Britain?

In all my life (and I've been around for quite a bit) I've only ever known it to snow twice at Crimbo.

And of those two, only once on Christmas Day (the other time, it snowed on Christmas Eve and was still on the ground on Christmas Day).

I lived through the 60s and 70s when it was colder than it is today, so not much prospect (short of spending Christmas in Norway).

But yeah - snow at Cristmas would be the business.

Having snow on Christmas day,the kids may all be grown up but they still get a kick out of it,in fact if there is enough snow we will probably be out there having snowball fights with the granchildren  like the big kids we still are!

I hate all the commercialism. Tv adverts **** Christmas down your throat in October. People getting into debt because they have to buy there kids the latest toy or gadget. Overpriced food in stupid festive packaging!

I love spending time with my family. Going out at night for a 'few' drinks and soaking up the party atmosphere and eating all the rubbishy food i'm not allowed to eat any other time of the year lol wink

Buying and receiving presents for adults are my pet hates.

My parents are dead, my family are not close, I'm single and unattached...so no worries then.

Phew!

Every cloud, eh?

wink
